Bitterns.

A shy, wary and very rare bird in the British Isles. Some bird watchers have gone years before seeing one of these large birds and for many it has been just a quick glance as it peered out of the edge of a reed bed or sometimes a short flight. I was lucky to see, not only the hen bird at Leighton Moss Reserve but also the chick being fed, albeit in the edge of the reeds and I had my camera with me.
