CORMORANTS.

As an angler I do not regard the Cormorant as one of my favourite species even though I recognise that the failure of government to preserve the  food fish stocks in the sea around our coastline has driven the birds to seek food inland. How short sighted can it be to allow thousands of tons of Sandeels to be scooped up every year, not for consumption but for fertiliser!! Looked at closely the Cormorant is a beautiful bird with a deep sheen to its feathering. Unfortunately I have not had many chances to be near enough to photograph them.
