It is nice to occasionally get close to these normally shy birds and I took most of the pictures at the Eric Morecambe Hide at Silverdale.

Although the pictures look similar they were taken over a number of days as you can tell by the direction of the lighting and the different fence posts. You don't get many chances of long shoots in a public hide where everyone is wanting to see the Kingfishers up close.

I have made the thumbnails large so that you can easily select the photographs you fancy viewing rather than trawling through them all although you are more than welcome to do so. Some may look alike on the thumbnail but there are small differences.
